ScrapMyCar originated when our founders – Joshi Sikha and Anwesh Singh – visited Mayapuri in 2016. They had just completed their MBA in Europe and were eager to start something in India. Mayapuri then, was extremely polluting, dirty, unorganized, unhygenic and toxic. This experience inspired them to organize, structure and clean up the car scrapping sector in India and thus they launched ScrapMyCar.
They began by setting up a scrap yard in Gurgaon that adhered to European standards as India had no policy yet. In 2019 they were joined by their friend and zealous environmentalist Mr. Nelson Jean-Gaasch. Nelson learnt about ScrapMyCar during his visit to India in 2018 and got involved as it aligned with his mission to protect the environment.

Built used car parts distribution network in Delhi NCR to supply direct to customer. Developed knowledge base of car parts pricing and value fluctuation
